Jay Litkey – Founder, President & CEO
A serial entrepreneur with extensive experience launching, financing and growing software companies, Jay Litkey has been a pioneer in emerging high growth markets that include cloud computing, virtualization, systems management automation, and Internet video.
For more than a decade, Jay has been a virtualization evangelist and advocate, focusing on the strategic impacts of virtualization and automation within enterprise data centers. He is ITIL-certified and frequently spends his time serving as a trusted advisor for IT executives and speaking at industry events.
Prior to Embotics, Jay founded Symbium Corp., a venture-funded company focused on autonomic computing and the automated management of IT infrastructure, managing business development and product management. Before Symbium, he was the founding CEO of BlackholeTV, an Internet video content aggregation and distribution company. Jay started his career at Bell-Northern Research designing automated control systems for the telecommunications industry. He is a golf hack, won a Forty under 40 award, and holds an honors degree in Computer Science from Queen’s University.
Sheldon Stevens – CFO
Sheldon is a qualified Chartered Accountant and a Certified Management Consultant. He worked with Ernst & Young’s accounting and management consulting groups before joining Husky Injection Molding Systems. In 1995, he joined Deloitte Consulting managing projects within both the Value Based Management and Change Leadership service lines. He was a founding shareholder of VOCI, a voice response company based in Silicon Valley as well as UnCommon grounds, a chain of coffee shops.
Over the past 11 years, Sheldon has been the CFO for over a dozen companies including DNA Genotek, Fuel Industries, Risk Sciences International, bluArc Communications, IPeak Networks, Embotics Corporation and Privacy Analytics. He has sat on the board of HireTopTalent Inc, Network Planning Systems, IPeak Networks and MyHealth Interactive Magazine and Agent App.
Mark Jamensky – Executive Vice President, Products
Mark is a research and development manager with over 17 years of experience in software and hardware development fields, as well as extensive skills in building technologies for both telecom and enterprise customers. He has spent the last six years leading the Embotics engineering team and building out virtualization and cloud management capabilities.
Prior to joining Embotics, he was VP of Product Development at BTI Photonic Systems, developing a WDM platform engineered for service connectivity at the edge of optical networks. Mark was employed at Nortel Networks, where he developed their Preside Policy Services products, which are now the MetaSolv Policy Services product. He also developed the industry’s first Remote Access SS7 gateway product, the CVX SS7, which is still in market with Aastra Technologies.
Mark holds a Computer Science degree from Concordia University and an MBA from the University of Ottawa.
Colin Wright – Vice President EMEA
Colin has more than 20 years’ experience working in the technology sector, with a strong track record growing a number of virtualisation and cloud companies. He has created successful EMEA sales operations for a number of software companies—Veeam Software, Vizioncore Inc., and Scriptlogic Corporation—as their first international employee.
Prior to that, Colin held a number of sales management roles at Citrix Systems. More recently, Colin was Business Unit Director (Virtualisation, VDI, Cloud) at MTI Europe and Head of Desktop Virtualisation Sales at 2e2.
Greg MacPherson – Vice President Sales
Greg is an accomplished Sales and Business Development manager with over 28 years of experience in the Information Technology field. He has spent the last two years as a consultant assisting companies develop and implement Sales and Business strategies.
Prior to this, Greg held numerous positions with increasing levels of responsibility at Hewlett Packard, Compaq and Digital Equipment Corporation. Notable assignments included HP Services Director Eastern Canada, HP Services Canadian Sales Director, Compaq Services Director Sales and Marketing and Global Account Manager.
Possessing a wide array of experiences and successes, Greg is a versatile leader who builds strong, successful teams. Greg holds a BBA from Acadia University and an MBA from Dalhousie University.
