Recap: Embotics at ZertoCon 2017

ZertoCon 2017Last week, the Embotics’ team attended the 2nd annual ZertoCon 2017 in historic Boston. For those who aren’t familiar, ZertoCon focuses on the business continuity and IT resilience world, and this year’s event certainly didn’t disappoint! The conference was filled with three days of discussions and demos surrounding the latest technology and practices revolutionizing how cloud strategy is done.

Many of the keynotes and sessions focused on resilience for evolving IT, and what uninterrupted IT can do for organizations. Our CTO, Scott Davis, had the opportunity to speak on the Zerto CIO Roundtable at the event alongside three fellow technology CTOs. The roundtable panelists shared insights surrounding some of the IT challenges they face today-- including data security in a multi-platform world, and how without a modern solution for multi-cloud management, organizations are often left in a situation where the user is outside the control of IT, causing increased spending, added risk, and further shadow IT issues.

Embotics at ZertoConThis leads into another theme of the conference— how essential availability and resiliency are for business critical applications, especially as enterprises increasingly host their own applications and infrastructure across cloud environments. This tied in nicely with our new Zerto Technical Alliance Program, which allows customers to quickly build, automate and protect enterprise-class hybrid cloud environments. Embotic’s vCommander® cloud management and automation platform and Zerto Virtual Replication DR solution are designed for rapid, easy installation which minimizes time to ROI. The technologies seamlessly overlay across public, private and hybrid cloud infrastructures to create a single interface that makes it simple to enable the appropriate level of disaster recovery protection while rapidly provisioning virtual machines.

ZertoCon did a great job addressing the changing IT environment, and how enterprises are increasingly hosting their applications and infrastructure across public, private and hybrid clouds. Here at Embotics®, we left the show feeling confident in our abilities to help customers with their IT resiliency across multi-cloud environments, but would love to hear you key takewaways from the event! We encourage you to share your thoughts in the comments, and look forward to seeing you at ZertoCon 2018.
