Jay Litkey, Founder, President & CEO
A serial entrepreneur with extensive experience launching, financing and growing software companies, Jay has been a pioneer in emerging high growth markets that include virtualization, enterprise systems management automation, and internet video content distribution. For the past 8 years he has been a virtualization evangelist and advocate, focusing on the strategic impacts of virtualization and automation within enterprise data centers. Jay is ITIL-certified and frequently spends his time serving as a trusted advisor for IT executives and speaking at industry events.
Prior to Embotics, Jay founded Symbium Corp, a venture-funded company focused on Autonomic Computing and the automated management of IT infrastructure, where he managed business development and product management. Prior to that, he was the founding CEO of BlackholeTV, an internet video company. Jay started his career at Bell-Northern Research designing automated control systems for the telecommunications industry. He is a golf hack, won a Forty under 40 award, and holds an honors degree in Computer Science from Queen's University.
Jason Cowie, Vice President Product Management
Jason Cowie is the Vice President Product Management at Embotics and oversees product direction and strategy. Previously, Jason was the General Manager at EMC responsible for the Server Management business, and played a key role in the acquisition of Configuresoft. While at Configuresoft, Jason served as Vice President of Product Management helping secure Configuresoft as the industry leader in security and configuration management. Jason’s extensive management background spans sales, business development, consulting, and product marketing at various companies including Microsoft, Scalable Software, and Mission Critical Software (merged with NetIQ in 2000). He received his Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Alberta, and completed graduate studies in Information Technology at the University of Victoria.
Mark Jamensky, Vice President of Engineering and Operations
Mark is a seasoned Research and Development manager with over 17 years of experience in software and hardware development fields. He has extensive skills in building technologies for both telecom and enterprise customers. Prior to joining Embotics, he was VP of Product Development at BTI Photonic Systems, developing a WDM platform engineered for service connectivity at the edge of optical networks. Mark was employed at Nortel Networks, where he developed their Preside Policy Services products which are now the MetaSolv Policy Services product. He also developed the industry’s first Remote Access SS7 gateway product, the CVX SS7, which is still in market with Aastra Technologies. Mark holds a Computer Science degree from Concordia University and an MBA from the University of Ottawa.
Cadman Chui, Vice President of Marketing
Cadman Chui is responsible for strategic marketing at Embotics. Chui is a seasoned marketing executive with over 15 years of marketing experience in the technology space. Prior to joining Embotics, Chui served as the vice president, marketing at Platespin, the leading vendor of virtualization software, where he was responsible for building and leading the award winning Marketing team. Chui has also held senior marketing positions with a wide range of software technology companies including Cybermation (now CA) and DataMirror (now IBM). Chui holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Waterloo and MBA from the Schulich School of Business.
Jean-Marc Seguin, Chief Architect
Jean-Marc brings more than 18 years of design and development experience to his leadership role as Chief Architect at Embotics. Prior to that, he was Director of Engineering at Symbium, with broad-ranging management responsibilities spanning software applications through firmware and hardware development. With numerous patents granted, Seguin also worked at Mitel designing and building leading-edge, enterprise and telecommunications software applications.
